This volume is a collection of articles which are expanded versions of the papers given at the Interactive Workshop on Advances in Remote Sensing Retrieval Methods, held in Williamsburg, Virginia, October 30 to November 2, 1984. One hundred and five scientists from industry, universities, government agencies, and research laboratories in the United States, France, Canada, Australia, and England attended the workshop, in which fifty-one papers were presented. Forty-seven of these papers, and their discussions, are included in this volume.
